Normally I am posting something about health, nutrition, fitness, Beachbody, health for kids, or something related. Today I want to take a break from that and give “Thanks” to someone special; it is Thanksgiving after all. And actually, being “healthy” involves much more than just physical health. So this post is for someone that keeps my heart healthy.
I am so thankful for my wife Jaki.
Babe, you make my life on Earth complete, and I appreciate everything you do and everything you are.
When we first met, was it love at first site? No, I don’t think so – not sure if I believe in “love at first site”. But, from the moment we first kissed to the day I proposed to you just a few months later, a love and passion grew within me like I had never known before. We were both young, but I just knew we were meant for each other.
It was 12 years ago, this past week, that we first kissed.
Summary of the last 12 years: 3 kids, fun times, good times, wonderful times, love, friendship, and a few little bumps along the way.
But as I sit here and write this and reflect on the last 12 years, I think about two things you have given me every day since that first kiss. Laughter and happiness. Our first kiss; our wedding; the birth of our children; the funny little things that our kids do that make us laugh all the time; the sarcastic joking we do with each other every day; seeing your pretty smile. It has all brought me laughter, smiles, and happiness.
Happy Thanksgiving Jaki. I love you, and I am thankful for you!
